Fresh Faced

I love the fresh faces that come with summer. The make up comes off and it is replaced with flushed cheeks and a little shimmer.

A Magical Little Island

Anyone who has spent more then 12 minutes with me knows I love nothing more then personal time with a close friend going on an adventure outside involving whimsy.

I am a born and bred Southern California girl so I don't know how this was the first time I had other ventured to Orange County's Balboa Island. Let me tell you, it's love. What a magical little land!

I mean, seriously? We took the ferry over to this magical land. To make things even better...we took it for free courtesy of the 16 year old who was running it.

What is a day of whimsy without cotton candy?

Highly recommend Balboa Bike N Beach Stuff. We were able to rent beach cruises for 5 dollars for an hour! The staff was really helpful and even allowed us to take the bikes for an extra 20 minutes free of charge :) Definitely hit them up if you are in the area!

The thing with eating cotton candy is that it is some messy stuff...

Such a dreamy day with such a dear friend!

Christmas in 3 cities

Its been a lovely 2 weeks of adventure and as typical I have been failing to keep up with my blog

Christmas party!

Dress by Jill Stuart

Went to New York to do an editors preview...sat next to a man who fell asleep the second the engines started and never said a word to me which made getting up 3 times to go to the bathroom substantially awkward.

The team stopped into The Ace Hotel get lunch at The Breslin

Outfit: Hat by Target; Scarf by H&M; Sweater by Zara; Tights by Target; leggings by Target; Rainboots by Kamuks

Nothing like being reunited with my best friend! I am so thankful for this woman who has taught me so me so much about what it means to be a friend and women of God. I am the silliest version of myself with her. We got into our PJ's and watched Christmas movies while eating warm cookies and milk and braiding our hair into a single braid.

Pajamas by Target

Spent the day in DC seeing the sights. Starbucks, museums and my best friend...could there be a better day?!

I have absolutely no idea what happened to the national monument in this picture...its just...gone

I just love this woman...once again sporting my fab Jill Stuart dress (different party, different coast)

I finished off the trip with a trip to the very popular and very delicious DC cupcakes...serious YUM!

Enchanted

Its been a crazy week! Last week as I was walking downtown to my next fashion show, I was struck by how truly enchanted I am by the life I get to lead.

The girls and I ventured downtown to the Vibiana for the GenArt fresh faces in fashion show. I of course came armed wearing my favorite lipstick. Ruby Woo by MAC cosmetics.

A night out in Los Angeles isn't complete without a celebrity sighting. True to form, there was David Arquette in the front row.

After the fashion show, I headed over to Little Bear for a benefit for Two Wings.

Two Wings uses education, mentoring and life coaching to empower at-risk youth and survivors of sex trafficking in achieving their dreams in the greater Southern California region.

And then came day 2 of LA Fashion Week. This dress is made up completely of corn kernels by the very talented Jlynn of JHauss!

Gorgeous!

Directly following the fashion show we drove down to Orange County for 31 Bits launch.  It was so fun to dance the night away with old friends and new friends! I am so beyond thankful for the unique people God throws into my life. I met Summer earlier this year at an event and knew instantly this was a woman I wanted to know. She loves Jesus and fashion and lives in my hometown of San Diego! Girl after my own heart. I also recently met Candace Cameron Bure through some work related stuff and I just think she is great!

Friday night I met some friends and ventured off to the Santa Monica Pier to watch 500 Days of Summer from the pier.

Darling Magazine Launch

One of my very favorite things about the life I get to lead is the people I get to meet and the projects it turns into. About a year ago, I found out about Darling Magazine and instantly fell in love with the hearts of the women behind this project. The magazine is so empowering and beautiful. It leaves you feeling beautiful and inspired and excited!

You can imagine my excitement when it opportunity arose for me to use my own talents and work towards getting some press for this fab magazine. The launch party was a little over a week ago and it left me feeling excited, empowered and inspired. Check out some of the pics from the very talented photographer (and my dear friend) Sarah Shreves.

It was a pleasure to host the fabulous blogger and my new friend, Hallie from the fab blog Hallie Daily
