Duffy Cruise in Newport Harbour
I am a do'er. My natural tendency in hanging out with with someone isn't to go grab a coffee...I want to do something. The way to win my heart is through an adventure. This past weekend I ventured down to Orange County with 15 of my favorite girlfriends to go on a Duffy Cruise with Pirates Life Boat Rental on the Newport Harbour. It was FABULOUS! We had dinner pot luck style on the boat, at sunset while blasting some of our favorite tunes!

Interiors Pink Couch
For the past year or so I have absolutely been pining over the idea of having a pink couch. It is no secret that I am a girlie girl and would not so secretly love to live in a Barbie type Jonathan Adler type home. That just sounds like a dream. So here it is...my ode to the pink couch that I so desperately want!

My picks for Summer Wedding Dresses
If your life looks anything like mine recently then it looks like lots and lots of weddings. I might not be super great at finding boys to meet at the alter but I am super great at meeting dresses to wear down them! Check out my pics for some of my favorite dresses to wear to summer weddings!

Fresh Faced
I love the fresh faces that come with summer. The make up comes off and it is replaced with flushed cheeks and a little shimmer.

Favorite Places: Palm Springs
Had the loveliest of lovely times in Palm Springs. There is something just really sweet about that desert town. I don't know if it is the large concentration of mid century modern architecture, the food, the pools or the hotter then hot weather but it is just lovely.
We hit up The Viceroy for dinner and it looked like where Barbie would live. Love the interiors by Kelly Wearstler.

I love The Ace. I have stayed there both times I have gone to Palm Springs and there is just something really calming about being there. It definitely has a certain "scene" but it is still just really really relaxing.
Stopped by The Saguaro for dinner.
clearly I am a spaz...

Summers Best One Pieces
I spent 4 summers of my life working at a fabulous camp that created the need to find fabulous one piece swim suits. Each year it was like a treasure hunt to find the most gorgeous one piece available in southern california. 4 years later and I still have a love for the one piece. Below are some of my favorites

A Magical Little Island
Anyone who has spent more then 12 minutes with me knows I love nothing more then personal time with a close friend going on an adventure outside involving whimsy.
I am a born and bred Southern California girl so I don't know how this was the first time I had other ventured to Orange County's Balboa Island. Let me tell you, it's love. What a magical little land!
I mean, seriously? We took the ferry over to this magical land. To make things even better...we took it for free courtesy of the 16 year old who was running it.
What is a day of whimsy without cotton candy?
Highly recommend Balboa Bike N Beach Stuff. We were able to rent beach cruises for 5 dollars for an hour! The staff was really helpful and even allowed us to take the bikes for an extra 20 minutes free of charge :) Definitely hit them up if you are in the area!
The thing with eating cotton candy is that it is some messy stuff...
Such a dreamy day with such a dear friend!

Mad Men Premiere Party
Sometimes I have to pinch myself with the truly extraordinary things that I get to do!
Several years ago I fell in love with a little show called Mad Men...heard of it? I love the stories, I love the fashions. Its one of those shows you can watch on mute and still be completely captivated by the beautiful imagery. On the other side you could just listen and be entranced by the story. You can imagine my excitement to have been invited to the premiere party a few nights ago. Mingling with the people who make one of my favorite shows come to life poolside in the Hollywood Hills.

This lovely lady is an absolute peach. Its not always easy to meet grounded people in Los Angeles who are also working in the "industry" and I am blessed to call this one my friend!

LA on a Saturday in March
There are moments I need to pinch myself at my luck at being born in California. This Saturday was one of those moments. Is it truly beautiful here and in the same several hours I was hiking amongst waterfalls and sky scrapers!

We stopped by the Annual Lantern Festival downtown. Honestly, it was sort of a bust. I read about it in a few places online and it sounded like it could be super fun. I imagined dragons. Reality was middle aged men doing Tae Kwon Do.
Came across this awesome hipster tree. This is why I love living in a city. A rotten tree stump is given the ability to turn into a piece of art. So good!
